How to start an e-Sevai centre in Tamil Nadu — and how to earn more from it
Many people in Tamil Nadu search for how to start an e-Sevai centre (இ சேவை மையம்). This guide explains the government scheme honestly, tells you where to check the official rules, and shows one way a centre or shop owner can add income: introducing local businesses to CAREALL’s digital services.
In short: e-Sevai centres are a Tamil Nadu government scheme run by TNeGA. CAREALL is not part of it and does not sell e-Sevai licences. CAREALL’s free Partner Programme is a separate, private programme.
What is an e-Sevai centre?
An e-Sevai centre is a counter where citizens apply for Tamil Nadu government services — community, income and nativity certificates and many more — through the state’s e-Sevai portal. The scheme is run by the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA). Under the e-Sevai For All scheme, the state opened the opportunity to citizens of Tamil Nadu who want to run a centre, with the aim of a centre in every village and ward.
Who can apply, and where to check
- The scheme is open to citizens of Tamil Nadu who want to start a centre, including educated youth and entrepreneurs in rural areas
- Eligibility, fees and the current application process are published by TNeGA — always check tnega.tn.gov.in and the e-Sevai portal tnesevai.tn.gov.in before paying anyone
- TNeGA’s e-Sevai helpdesk: tnesevaihelpdesk@tn.gov.in, toll-free 1800 425 6000
- Training for e-Sevai technical operators is run with ICT Academy across the districts
Be careful of anyone selling an “e-Sevai franchise” or a “government ID” for a fee. Apply only through the official TNeGA channels.
How a centre or shop owner can earn more
Owners of e-Sevai centres, computer centres, xerox and DTP shops already know the businesses around them — and almost every one of those businesses now needs a website, an online store or a digital system. The CAREALL Partner Programme lets you introduce them. CAREALL head office sets the price, builds and delivers the work, and the client pays CAREALL directly. When the client has paid in full, your recorded share reaches your bank account by the 10th of the next month, with a statement.
